What we cover

Week 1: Introduction

A gentle introduction, we will being to with an overview of Internal Family Systems and try out some tools we can take back to our daily life.

Week 2: Getting to know our protector system - An overview

This week we will delve a little more into how the protector system works, how it’s always looking out for us, even when it’s intentions don’t always have the best of impacts.

Week 3: Understanding Managers (A type of protector)

We will take this time to get more familiar with a type of protector called Managers. These are the parts of us that are doing their best to keep us from ending up in situations we don’t like. They are very proactive.

Week 4: Understanding Firefighters (A type of protector)

However, no matter how good our Managers are sometimes things ‘get through’ in our system. This is when Firefighters come in. In their view they are there to do damage control. Unfortunately their attempt to control the internal damage often does damage on the outside.

Week 5: Self & Self-energy

This week we will explore what it means to be in Self, hold Self-energy and try to release the idea that being in Self all the time is the ultimate goal to aim for.

Week 6: Our vulnerable parts - Connecting to Exiles

This week we will take some time to understand the parts of our system which have been hurt and carry burdens from not having their needs met or being shamed. With the tools gained we can being to give these parts what they need and free them.

Week 7: IFS in Everyday Life - Part 1: Make it your own

In this week we will explore how to personalise IFS - your system is an unique as your fingerprint. Therefore, how we are each going to do IFS will vary as well.

Week 8: IFS in Everyday Life - Part 2: How you already do IFS

We already do IFS. We just don’t call it that. In our final week we will find the ways in which we already do IFS - so we can strengthen what we already do.

  • The course is free.

  • Absolutely not. You do what is right for you to be able to get the most out of it.

  • No, there is no compulsory sharing. If you feel called to share because it feels like it would be helpful for you then you are welcome. But there is no expectation that you share anything about your experiences.

  • That’s ok, there is value in each session that you attend. You will natrually pick up what you need right now from whichever sessions you attend.

    I do encourage you to attend as many as possible - even when you feel you can’t give it your all - because I am not asking you to come and pretend to have it all together. We welcome you as you are and what you have to give on any given day - if on one day you only have 2% to give then come and only give 2%.
